Marionville, MO is a charming community just 30 minutes southwest of Springfield and 10 minutes from Republic off Hwy 60. Best known as “Home of the White Squirrels”(and yes, they are protected in this city) this picturesque town may be small in population—just over 2,000—but it is well known for its annual Applefest Festival. The festival dates back to 1988, and serves as a community celebration featuring a beauty pageant, crafts, live music, games, and a variety of local foods.
